Ambition
Our ambition is to be the best region for Children’s Services in the country so that children and young people get timely and effective help when they need it and are able to thrive and succeed in life.
Vision
Our vision and mission is:

For 85% of our LA/Trusts to have Ofsted judgements of Good or Outstanding demonstrating high quality services to children and young people

To have the lowest social work turnover rate in the country giving our children and families stability in our workforce

To have top performance nationally in PLO Care Proceedings supporting our children in care to achieve permanency in a timely way

To be in the top quartile for education outcomes nationally and have no LA in the bottom quartile for national KS2 results

To have 85% schools judged as Good or Outstanding demonstrating high quality education provision for our children and young people.

To have care placements, training, safeguarding partnerships, SEND provision, and schools that are efficient and effective

To have innovation programmes across our services and to share our learning from these, showcasing the West Midlands as a region for innovation and improvement

To “know ourselves well” as a region and to have networks and collaborations in place to help us address our individual and collective challenges.
